INFO:
To cook rice on the stove, first place 1 cup (175 grams) of rice in a fine-mesh strainer and rinse it under running water for 30 seconds. Rinsing your rice first will make it fluffier and less sticky. Next, put the rice into a pot and add in 2 cups (475 milliliters) of water. Bring the water to a boil, and then reduce the heat to a simmer and cover the pot. Cook white rice for 18 minutes and brown rice for 30 minutes or until all of the water in the pot is absorbed. Finally, turn off the heat and let the rice sit for 5 minutes. Fluff the rice with a fork and enjoy!
