President Trump signed an executive order on Monday night to delay enforcement of a federal ban on TikTok for 75 days. The order, signed in the Oval Office shortly after his inauguration, directs the attorney general to not take any enforcement action on the ban so that his administration can get “an opportunity to determine the appropriate course forward.” The president told reporters “the U.S. should be entitled to get half of TikTok,” without going into detail.
